A lighting designer with a degree from the University of Wismar in Germany and over 10 years of international experience brings a unique blend of academic knowledge and practical expertise to the field of lighting design. This diverse background has shaped her approach to creating visually captivating and highly functional lighting solutions.She was recognized in 2023 by the LIT Design Awards for her work with Zebra Technologies and has been a featured speaker at numerous lighting design summits and universities. As an international lighting designer, she has contributed to projects across various countries, earning a reputation for her expertise in crafting innovative and culturally sensitive lighting solutions. Her portfolio spans a wide range of projects, including architectural, interior, and urban lighting design.
Sky Bembury
ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL
Sky is a versatile international lighting designer with a passion for creating visionary designs across theatrical and architectural spaces. With a belief that light is life, Sky approaches each project with the understanding that a well-executed lighting design serves as the energy of a space, enhancing both its aesthetic and functional impact.Originally from New York City, Sky began his professional journey in entertainment lighting design, working across Broadway, Off-Broadway, community, and regional theaters throughout the tri-state area. After earning a BA in Lighting Design from Kean University, he pursued an MFA at the University of Essex in the United Kingdom, continuing to design independently for West End, Off-West End, and regionally touring productions.
Expanding into architectural lighting, Sky has collaborated with leading architects, interior designers, and developers in London and Dubai, bringing innovative lighting solutions to a wide range of projects. In addition to his design expertise, he has extensive experience in product management, product development, and design client relations. This diverse background gives him a deeper understanding of the industry, allowing him to bridge the gap between creative vision, technical execution, and market needs.
